This radio documentary was written, engineered, and produced by Corey Deitz between May 5 - July 30, 1974 at WKSU-FM, Kent State University, Kent, Ohio.
Deitz had unprecedented access to the Kent State University Archives, Office of Radio/TV Information, and University News Service which he used to recreate the events - using original and authentic recorded audio - that led up to the tragic shooting deaths of four student protestors on May 4, 1970.
First broadcast on WKSU-FM, the work was deemed important enough by the student council to be preserved in a two-record vinyl album for future generations for study and historical reflection. The audio and both video and audio format is presented below for viewing, listening, sharing or downloading.
